What point on the graph of f(x) is closest to the origin?

Had a buddy of mine ask me for help the other day on this calculus problem. Neither of us could figure it out, figured I would post it up here and see if any braniac could come up with a solution.

*Find the point closest to the origin for the graph of F(x) = 5/2 - X^2

Involves derivatives I believe, I attempted to find the slope of that perpendicular line between (0,0) using the distance formula, plugged the original f(x) into the y coordinate, then took the derivative of that distance formula and set it to 0 to find that critical point. I keep getting sqrt(2) but that doesn't appear to be right at all...
